Leader of the Polish aluminium market

Grupa Kęty S.A. is a leader of the Polish aluminium market. The Company may boast of over 65 years of experience in aluminium processing. Grupa Kęty S.A. is the parent company for the Capital Group composed of three operating segments functioning in the following areas:

Production of aluminium profiles and components (Extruded Products Segment, EPS)

Designing and production of architectural systems and external aluminium roller shutters (Aluminium Systems Segment, ASS)

Production of flexible packaging (Flexible Packaging Segment, FPS)

The Capital Group of Grupa Kęty S.A. consists of 24 companies, including 15 foreign subsidiaries. At the end of 2020, the Group headcount was 5,322 people, including 1,353 employees at Grupa Kęty S.A. Nearly 600 people were employed by foreign companies.

Since 2000, the Group has spent over PLN 2.4 billion on plant and machinery, as well as new products and services. Thanks to the expenditures made, the Capital Group companies joined the top of the cutting-edge manufacturing companies in Europe in their respective industries. The Capital Group operates on a global scale, providing its products and services to customers in over 50 countries.

New strategy of Grupa Kęty

The new Strategy for the years 2021–2025 assumes that in 2025 the leader of the Polish aluminium market shall reach PLN 4.6 billion revenue and PLN 787 million EBITDA. Investment projects in that period are going to cost PLN 1.1 billion, half of which will be spent on development project. The governing bodies of Grupa Kęty assume that the driving motor for the three business segments development will be exports. The Group also considers the sale of the Flexible Packaging Segment (comprising the companies of Alupol Packaging, Alupol Packaging Kęty and Alupol Film). Therefore, at the beginning of 2021 the Management Board made a decision on the selection of Rothschild & Co Poland as an adviser in the process of identifying the interest among potential investors.

The Stock Exchange Company of the Year 2020

Grupa Kęty S.A. occupies the 3rd position in the prestigious main ranking of the 22nd edition of the Best GPW Listed Companies under the name ‘The Stock Exchange Company of the Year’, organised by Puls Biznesu. The Grupa Kęty also took a very high, third position in the sub-ranking of ‘Investor Relations’, and the fourth position in the sub-ranking of the ‘Management Board Competence’.
Every year, 100 stock analysts, investment advisers and managers, who represent brokerage houses, pension funds and investment funds, select the Stock Exchange Company of Year. This is a great advantage of the research, because stock companies receive valuable information about their perception by the professional market participants. The ranking emphasises the importance of the Stock Exchange in financing the Polish economy, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, indicates companies whose management boards, products and services, or corporate culture are of top quality and worth following, esteeming and promoting.

Investor Relations research among WIG30 companies

Grupa Kęty occupies the 2nd position in the latest edition of the Investor Relations research among WIG30 companies performed by the ‘Parkiet’ paper and the Brokerage Houses Chamber.

The companies were selected within two parts of the research: the votes of the readers and individual investors cast on our website, and a questionnaire sent out to the representatives of financial institutions. The questionnaire was answered by over one thousand people, and the number of votes exceeded 17 thousand. The other part of the research was joined by the representatives of 19 different financial institutions, including funds and brokerage houses (analytical departments). The managers and analysts assessed the IR of companies at the average level of 4.1 points within the scale of 1 to 6. The highest place has been taken by LPP (4.92) and just behind it has been Grupa Kęty (4.8), the third position has been assigned to Asseco Poland (4.6).

Nomination in the category of the ‘CEO of the Year’ for Mr Dariusz Mańko, President of the Management Board of Grupa Kęty S.A.

President of the Management Board Dariusz Mańko has been nominated to the title of the ‘CEO of the Year’ in the prestigious ranking of the ‘Parkiet’ paper. It is a great achievement considering the recent time doomed with the pandemic. The pandemic posed new challenges to the managers and their teams. Therefore, all managers must be congratulated. The nominees to the title were also Jerzy Mirgos of Mirbud S.A., and Adam Sikorski of Unimot S.A., who finally received the title of the ‘CEO of the Year’.
