Privacy policy and cookie file principles

Any personal or telephone and address data gathered by the Corporate Web Service of Grupa Kęty S.A. are used solely for the purpose of contact related to user inquiry, to which the user expects reply. The user’s data received by the Corporate Web Service of Grupa Kęty S.A. will be used solely by Grupa Kęty S.A. and its subsidiaries.

The controller of any data is Grupa Kęty S.A. with its registered office in Kęty, ul. Kościuszki 111, 32-650 Kęty.

Grupa Kęty S.A. applies technical and organisational measures ensuring protection of the processed personal data, and also protects the data against their disclosure to unauthorised persons, seizing by an unauthorised persons, or processing in breach of the Act on Personal Data Protection. In order to ensure safety of the data processed, Grupa Kęty S.A. appointed the Personal Data Officer, who supervises abiding by the principles of personal data processing protection, and also prepared and implemented the Information Security Policy.

Cookie files (‘cookies’) are IT data, particularly text files, stored on the Service end user’s device and intended for using the Service websites. Usually, cookies comprise the name of the website they come from, the period of their storage on the end user’s device as well as a unique number.

Cookies are used for:

1. adjusting the contents of the Service websites to user preferences and optimisation of the use of websites; specifically, the files help to recognise the Service end user’s device and adequately display the website, adjusted to the user’s individual needs;
2. creation of statistics, which help to understand how the Service users use the websites, which will enable the websites structure and contents improvement.

Within the Service two basic types of cookies are used: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary files stored on the end user’s device by the time of leaving the website or switching off the software (web browser). Persistent cookies are stored on the end user’s device for the period specified in the file parameters or by the time they are deleted by the user.

In many cases the software used for browsing websites allows the storage of cookies on the end user’s device by default. The Service users may at any time change the settings applicable to cookie files. The settings may be changed specifically such as to block the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser settings, or inform about each download of cookies to the Service user’s device.

Limitations in handling cookies may affect some functionalities of the Service websites. Grupa Kęty S.A. gathers and stores information on the use of the Service by its users as well as their IP addresses. The information is gathered based on the access logs analysis and used for technical and statistical purposes related to the Service administration.
